“Hard and tough stand is needed to crush the separatists and militancy in J&K and present Government has adopted the same stance”, RSS Sagchalak, Dr Gautam Mengi told reporters here, today. Dr Mengi along with RSS Seh Sangchalak, Dr Vikant Sharma also briefed the media about the recent All India Executive Committee meeting of the Sangh held at Panipat, Haryana on March 14 and said that the Sangh activists from all over country took part in the meet which was chaired by RSS chief, Dr Mohan Rao Bhagwat.
While expressing his satisfaction over the functioning of Narendra Modi Government, Dr Mengi said it besides chasing Pak militants to finish, has also taken a tough stand against their sympathisers and over ground supporters by putting them behind bars and attaching their properties etc.
“This Government is working in the total interests of nation and its people irrespective of their caste, creed, colour, religion and region for development and prosperity of the country, he said, adding the symbols of India’s identity are being revived which were put in limbo by earlier rulers”.
Dr Mengi said Ram Mandir, Kashi Vishwanath is the real identity of India’s ancient civilization and culture. Likewise Maharana Partap and Shivaji Marhata were the real heros of India who fought against the tyrant rulers.
Maintaining that the Kashmir is an integral part of India, Mengi said that not only during Maharaja’s rule but before that Kashmir has been a part of Indian civilization and ethos. “Unfortunately the Kashmiri rulers after 1947 misled the people of Valley that has been the cause of over 30 year long turmoil. But now the people are realising the same and they have seen through their game plan also, he added.”
In response to a question the RSS leader said that Sangh has taken cognizance of Love Jehad cases and it is working tirelessly to create awareness among the people against that. “We are educating people to guide their children by informing them about their rich cultural heritage, their religion and civilization, so that they do not fall in the trap of Love Jehad”, he added.
He said Sangh is working hard to bring more and more youth into its fold all over the country and various sister organization of RSS are working for nation building in entire country in different fields.
He gave account of Shakhas and other activities of Sangh held in the country as well as J&K and said though no Shakha is being held in Kashmir at present but Sangh through its single teacher schools in the Valley is working to imbibe the spirit of nationalism and discipline among the children.
