REASI, Nov 15: Zonal Education Officer (ZEO) Chasana and several teachers of four schools in his zone, Mahore tehsil have been charge sheeted and their salary withheld after a Results Framework Document (RFD) report of Sarpanch revealed that schools remained closed on working days.
The RFD report was verified by the SDM Mahore by deputing an inspection party, which found that three schools were closed and no attendance record was maintained.
Deputy Commissioner Reasi, Shahid Chowdhary has directed the Chief Education Officer Ashok Kumar to immediately conduct an enquiry in the matter to initiate proceedings against absentee teachers for treating absence from duty as dies-non or break in service. ZEO Chasana has been directed to explain reasons for failure to ensure attendance in schools.
