Dalit minorities project issues in Jourian conference

AKHNOOR, Mar 22: Dalit OBC Minorities, a wing of All India Confederation of SC/ST/OBC Organisations (J&K) organised 6th round table conference at Jourian for protection of constitution and democracy under the slogan of “Sath Chalo, Milkar Lado”.
Ajay Shivgotra, president Guru Ravidas Sabha Jourian, organised the conference wherein people belonging to SC/ST/OBC/minorities from Jourian and Khour participated.
RK Kalsotra, president Confederation while addressing said that many such conferences will be held across J&K. The agenda of such meetings is to educate people about the threats the constitution and democracy are facing.
Suraj Prakash supported the need for holding round table conferences as the rights of underprivileged are being constantly curbed. He further mentioned that right to speech is fundament one and should not be curbed in any form.
Dr Ramesh Kaith supported the agenda and appealed all to join to save the fundamental rights and constitution. He further mentioned that privatisation is on the rise and more public sectors are being privatised which will hurt not only the minorities and downtrodden but also the general category people.
Three major resolutions were passed on the occasion which include new Parliament House should be named after Dr BR Ambedkar Parliament House, safeguarding the Constitution and the democracy and permanent revenue entry to poor land allottees. Reservation and otjher issues were also discussed during the conference.
Panches Nita Devi, Vijay Thapa and Garo Devi, Ex- Sarpanch Gopal Dass, Madan Lal, Shankar Chand, Moti Lal, Suram Chand, Ratan Lal and Ajeet Lal were also present on the occasion.
