Shiv Sena supports Statehood, OPS

JAMMU, Mar 22: Shiv Sena Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray J&K Unit has announced full support to the demands of restoring Statehood to J&K, regularization of casual employees and releasing of their salaries and implementation of Old Pension Scheme (OPS).
Addressing a press conference here today organized by social and political activist, Satish Poonchi wherein one day symbolic hunger strike and protest on March 28 was announced regarding the demands, Shiv Sena J&K chief, Manish Sahni, announced full support.
Sahni told reporters that Statehood is our right which was taken away on August 5, 2019 with the promise of early restoration.
He also said that temporary employees of various departments, appointed by former governments, are protesting for regularization of their jobs but the government is adamant and stubborn in this regard.
The Shiv Sena leader said that daily wages of employees in Delhi range between Rs. 16500-20500 whereas in J&K they get only Rs. 311 per day.
