JAMMU, Mar 23: Prakash Purav of Guru Nabha Dass Ji is being celebrated on March 26 at Teachers Bhawan, near Government Hospital at Gandhinagar here.
Talking to media-persons here today, president of Guru Nabha Dass Samaj Kalyan Parishad, Sansar Chand Karotra and general secretary T N Deol said that Lt Governor, Manoj Sinha has consented to be the chief guest on the occasion while Member Parliament from Jammu-Poonch Constituency, Jugal Kishore Sharma will be the guest of honour at the function.
The members/devotees from Jammu district and various other parts of the region will participate in the grand function being organized on coming Sunday. On this occasion, the shining students and other personalities of the community who have excelled in various fields including academic, sports, social work etc, shall be honoured by the chief guest.
Karotra further said that the main thrust of the programme shall be to educate the youngsters and students of the community to focus on the promotion of quality education in the community and to help in eradication of various social evils prevailing in the society such as drug menace, alcoholism, dowry system etc. A calendar was also released on the occasion.
Prominent among others present on the occasion included-Gopal Dass vice president, Rajesh Bajgal-cashier, Raghubir Kumar, K L Kuran, BR Rao and others.
