INTUC organizes rallies

KISHTWAR, Nov 16: Indian National Trade Union Congress (INTUC) organized rallies at Sarthal and PHE Sub Division Kishtwar, in which large number of PHE workers, employees of various departments, labour class, Panch and Sarpanchs participated.
During the rally at Sarthal, the workers apprised Shiv Kumar Sharma, State president, INTUC and PHE Employees Association provincial president Jammu and Ajay Kumar Sharma, vice president, State INTUC about their demands.
Sharma while speaking assured the workers that he will fight for their genuine demands.
Sharma also declared Bihari Lal as block president INTUC Sarthal on the recommendation of Raj Kumar Badyal, district president, INTUC.
Among others, who spoke were Som Dutt Sharma, advisor, Bashir Ahmed Bagwan, vice president, Bushan Kumar, executive member, Bihari Lal, Subash Chander Abdul Karim and Sher Singh, Sarpanchs.
In a rally at PHE Sub Division Kishtwar, the workers stressed for release of their wages on monthly basis.
While speaking, Sharma stressed upon the worker to remain united and fight for their basic right. He also assured the worker that their all genuine demands will be meted out and the matter regarding their regularization will also be given due consideration on priority basis.
He urged Executive Engineer, Hydraulic Division, Kishtwar to provide necessary equipment like rain coat, safety shoes and charcoal to the workers keeping in view the onset of winter.
NN Raina, Executive Engineer, Hydraulic Division Kishtwar assured that all genuine demands of PHE workers will be redressed at the earliest.
Among others present were Mohammad Iqbal, Chairman Seven Member Committee of PHE Employees Association, Abdul Kabir Kandoo, Bushan Kumar and Suresh Kumar.
