JAMMU, Mar 24: At least two people allegedly committed suicides in Jammu province, police said on Friday.
A police spokesperson said one Sonia (15) daughter of Vipan Kumar of Gurha, Billawar, Kathua, consumed some poisonous substance at her home today.
“After preliminary treatment, she was admitted in Government Medical College and Hospital (GMC&H) Jammu, where she breathed today,” he said.
Meanwhile, at Parladpur Mandal area falling under the jurisdiction of Police Post Phallain Mandal, one Dhruv Kumar (21) son of Vasudev of Bihar, was found hanging at his home.
“He was also taken to GMC&H Jammu today where he didn’t respond to the treatment,” the police spokesperson said.
“Bodies of the deceased have been shifted to the mortuary of the hospital for conducting post-mortem while cases under relevant sections of the law stand registered at concerned police station,” he added.
