Anti corruption Act

Sir,
It is heartening that the State Government has decided to promulgate an act, a stringent one to combat the menace of corruption in the State. It has the provision of awarding a maximum of 20 years in prison and a minimum of 6 years. The prospects of getting bail have been made at par with Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act. Earlier the
Government had constituted a committee headed by the Chief Secretary to recommend about changes and amendments to the Corruption act of 2006.  The demon of corruption is eating into the vitals of our country and our state is not lagging behind in this area. The need is not only making the exiting acts more strong but detection, detaining and prosecuting under a special court with day to day proceedings so that one thinks twice before demanding a bribe, in cash, kind or otherwise.
Yours etc….
