JAMMU, Mar 26: An 85-year-old man died after he was assaulted by unidentified people here today, police said.
They said Rodh Kumar, 85, son of Mela Ram of Prem Nagar was admitted in Government Medical College and Hospital (GMC&H) Jammu after he was assaulted by some unidentified people at Shaheedi Chowk.
“The octogenarian didn’t respond to the treatment at around 12:50 pm,” police said.
“We have registered an FIR in case FIR number 18/2023 under Section 302 of the Indian Penal Code against unidentified people,” incharge Police Post, Residency, Darshan Singh, told the Excelsior, adding that further investigations are on.
