JAMMU, Nov 17: Nagrota police today rescued 16 bovine animals and arrested a smuggler.
A police spokesman said that, police party from Nagrota Police Station on naka duty at Nagrota bye pass intercepted a truck bearing registration number HR58- 2377.
During search, police rescued 16 bovine animals and arrested the smuggler, who has been identified as Bittu Ram, son of Gyan Chand of Chanderkote.
A case under FIR number 341/13 under Section 188 RPC, has been registered at Police Station Nagrota and investigation started.
Police party headed by SHO Parvez Sajjad made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Khalik Choudhary.
