AAP leader, workers join BJP in Kashmir

SRINAGAR, Mar 28: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Reyaz Ahmad Shiekh, along with other party workers, joined the BJP in the presence of Ashok Koul, General Secretary (Org.) BJP, Jammu Kashmir, and Dr Darakhshan Andrabi, Chairperson Waqf Board, here today.
The BJP OBC Morcha organized the program, which saw the addition of Sarpanches, retired persons, and other members to the party.
Ashok Koul welcomed the new entrants into the BJP fold and stated that Reyaz Ahmad Shiekh joined the party because he was inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s development module.
“He wanted to help the common masses in Kashmir by joining the BJP,” Koul said.
Reyaz Ahmad Sheikh said that he joined BJP considering the national interest, national upliftment, and the aspirations of the people of Jammu Kashmir, youth upliftment, and employment.
He said that the platform offered by BJP was appropriate for providing a positive way out for the people of J&K, especially the youth.
The event was attended by other prominent members, including Mudasir Wani, Gh Mohidin Sofi, MM War, and Mohd Akhtar Ganai.
