Amazon Institute conducts MCC, F&B exams

JAMMU, Mar 28: Amazon Institute of Hotel Management and Applied Nutrition today conducted the final exam of students undergoing training of Multi Cuisine Cook (MCC) and Food and Beverages (F&B) services at Miran Sahib wherein students prepared various dishes and also appeared in theory, practical and viva exam.
Ashiq Regoo, senior faculty at Institute of Hotel Management (IHM), Srinagar assessed credentials of students.
These students are being imparted training under union government’s ‘Hunar Se Rozgar’ scheme sponsored by Union Ministry of Tourism at Miran Sahib.
The Amazon Institute known for preparing students for hotel and hospitality industry conducted this final exam under the supervision of Kapil Singh Chib, Principal of the Institute, Sadhvi Kashyap, faculty of MCC, Deepak Khanna, Manager of the Institute and Nirmal Kour.
The students during their exam prepared mouth-watering dishes which were presented before the assessors for evaluation.
The menu included Vegetable and Wonton Soup, White Sauce Pasta, Garlic Bread, Russian Salad, Cream of Spinach soup, Vegetable Do Pyaza, Lemon Rice, Fruit Raita and Beetroot Halwa and Puddings of different flavours.
Senior faculty IHM, Srinagar Ashiq Regu appreciated the dishes prepared by students and said that they are well prepared to be launched in the hospitality industry.
Managing Director of the Institute Ruchi apprised the students that very soon a placement drive will also be launched wherein recognized hotels will be invited to interview the students.
She said the aim of the placement drive is to create jobs locally and also encourage the domestic hospitality industry to employ local talent from J&K.
