10 vehicles seized for illegal mining

JAMMU, Mar 29: At least 10 vehicles were seized for mining illegally in Jammu District today, police said.
One tractor trolley was seized by Police Station Bishnah, another by Police Station Arnia, four tractor trolleys by Police Post Phallain Mandal, two more by Police Post Sidhra, one tractor trolley by Police Post Chattha and one dumper by Border Police Post Chakrohi, they said.
The recoveries were made by SHO Bishnah Inspector Vikram Sharma, SHO Arnia Inspector Deepak Katoch, Incharge Police Post Phallain Mandal PSI Ajesh Singh Jamwal, Incharge Police Post Sidhra PSI Arun Kumar, Incharge Police Post Chattha PSI Sandeep Kumar and Incharge Police Post Chakrohi PSI Ishfaq Ahmed Kasana.
“The vehicles were mining in violation of a High Court order,” police said, adding that DMO Jammu has been intimated about the recoveries made.
