RAJOURI, Mar 30: The police arrested two drug-peddlers in Sunderbani area and recovered some quantity of heroin from their possession.
Official sources said that police party during late last evening, at around 9.30 pm intercepted a Pulsar motorcycle bearing registration No. JK02CM/1049 coming from Jammu side and going towards Rajouri at ITI naka, Sunderbani. Two persons were travelling on it.
On checking, both of them started behaving in a weird manner. It created suspicion and police party during search recovered. On checking, around 12 grams of Chitta was recovered from their possession.
Both the persons disclosed their identity as Rohit Sharma @ Sonu, son of Suresh Chand and Sachin Sharma, son of Chaman Lal, residents of Salyote, Tehsil Chowki Choura. Both the persons were arrested on spot and motorcycle seized.
In this connection, a case FIR No. 18/23 U/S 8/21/22/29 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Sunderbani. Police team led by SI Tarsem Lal and ASI Abdul Hussain made the arrests under the supervision of Insp Deepak Pathania SHO Sunderbani.
