Temple theft case worked out, stolen items recovered

JAMMU, Mar 30: Jammu and Kashmir Police today claimed that they have solved a theft case and recovered stolen items worth Rs 15007.
A police spokesperson said that acting on a written complaint regarding theft from Shiv Mandir, Subhash Nagar, a case FIR number 51/2023 under section 457/380 of the IPC was registered at Police Station Bakshi Nagar and further investigation started.
Accordingly, he said, special police teams of Police Station Bakshi Nagar led by SDPO Jammu West Vikram Singh assisted by SHO Bakshi Nagar, Inspector Vishal Shoor and Incharge Police Post Sarwal, PSI Baljeet Singh Parihar generated human as well as technical intelligence and rounded up an accused identified as Iftkar Ali of Shiva, District Doda at present Jawahar Nagar Jammu.
On his disclosure, he added that the stolen amount of Rs 15007 in the form of Rs 10 and 20 notes and coins was recovered.
“Further investigations are on,” said the police spokesperson.
