JAMMU, Mar 31: Director General of Police, Dilbag Singh, has approved retirement gifts of over Rs. 3.13 crore for 314 police personnel who are retiring from their services today after attaining superannuation or voluntary retirement.
Among the police personnel receiving retirement gifts are 12 Gazetted officers, 250 Non-gazetted officers, 44 lower subordinates, 7 followers, and 1 nursing orderly, belonging to different units and wings of the department.
A press statement said that each police personnel will receive a retirement gift of Rs. 1 lakh from the Contributory Police Welfare Fund at the time of their retirement.
“This token of appreciation acknowledges the valuable contribution of the retiring personnel to the department,” read the statement.
