Pre-Lok Adalat sessions held

JAMMU, Nov 18: Pre-Lok Adalat sessions for the cases of Service Matters (SWP), Land Acquisition Matters and Workman’s Compensation Cases, were organised today at both Jammu and Srinagar wings of High Court, by Secretary J&K High Court Legal Services Committee, R.N.Watal, under the chairmanship of Justice Virender Singh, Executive Chairman, J&K State Legal Services Authority.
At Jammu wing of the High Court, 6 Benches were constituted, comprising Sanjay Gupta, Addl. District & Sessions Judge, Jammu, Akram Choudhary, Presiding Officer, MACT, Jammu,  Nighat Sultana, 2nd Addl. District & Session Judge, Jammu, Yash Pal Bourney, Ist Addl. Sessions Judge, Jammu. Sanjay Parihar, Addl. District & Session Judge, (Anti-corruption) Jammu and M.S.Parihar, President, District Consumer Forum, Jammu.
At Srinagar wing of the High Court, 3 Benches were constituted comprising M.L. Manhas, Spl. Judge Anti-Corruption, Srinagar, S.C.Gupta, 1st Addl. District & Sessions Judge, Srinagar and Aijaz Ahmad Khan, Joint Registrar Judicial, High Court of J&K Srinagar.
The Pre-Lok Adalat sessions were attended by Advocates, representatives/standing counsels of respective departments, and litigants. The Pre-lok Adalat Sessions were held in anticipation of National Lok Adalat scheduled to be held on November 23, 2013.
