BHADERWAH, Nov 18: Bhaderwah Hospital Bachao Front (BHBF) has denounced the announcement of Union Health Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad that a Mother and Child care unit will be opened in the Old Hospital Complex Bhaderwah, terming it as a politically motivated promise aimed at misleading the people for their votes.
The Front has completed 14 months of dharna for restoration of medical facilities in the Old Hospital Complex, but nobody bothered to redress public problems caused due to shifting of the hospital from its central and easily accessible location, but now when the elections are approaching, politicians have started showering announcements with an eye on votes and the announcement of the Union Health Minister is one such attempt, claimed Ranbir Manhas, the BHBF convener while addressing a press conference at dharna site here today.
Even if we believe that Azad is sincere this time, the people of Bhaderwah will not trust him as long as his announcement is not implemented in letter and spirit particularly in light of his track record of making false promises be it on the issue of land compensation or giving Soura Type Hospital to Bhaderwah, he added.
