Four held with heroin

RAMBAN, Apr 1: Police here today foiled a narcotic smuggling bid in Karol area and arrested two persons with heroin like substance.
During a routine checking driver of a Tipper bearing registration number JK21-E-8015 along with one more person coming from Karol to Ramban town saw cops and got confused.
Police party headed by PSI Rohit Sharma conducted their personal search and found two gm heroine like substance.
The duo was identified as Bali Singh, son of Pardeep Singh, resident of Tatarsoo, Tehsil Ramban and Mohd Rohit, son of Mohd Iqbal, resident of Parnote, Tehsil Ramban.
A case in FIR No. 110/2023 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act stands registered at Police Station Ramban in this regard and investigation has been started.
In another incident, the other day, a police party of Police Station Gool during checking near PHC Gool intercepted one Ajaz Ahmed alias Kaku son of Mohd Shaffi, resident of Parthmulla, Gool and during his search one gram heroin like substance was recovered. An FIR with No. 39/2023 U/S 8/21 NDPS Act was registered in this regard at Police Station Gool and investigation was entrusted to SI Ashiq Ahmed.
During interrogation, the accused disclosed that he bought the contraband from one Imtiyaz Ahmed son of Abdul Hamid, resident of Zalas Gool and on this information, Imtiyaz Ahmed was arrested, who on sustained questioning disclosed that he had concealed about 5-6 grams heroine inside his shop at main market Gool.
On this, SI Ashiq Ahmed along with Executive Magistrate Gool raided the place and recovered about 5.5 grams heroine.
The overall recovery was done under the guidance of Inspector Anil Choudhary, SHO Police Station Ramban and Inspector Nazir Ahmed, SHO Police Station Gool under the supervision of Pardeep Singh Sen, DySP Hqrs Ramban and Nihar Ranjan, SDPO Gool with the overall supervision of Mohita Sharma, SSP Ramban.
