JAMMU, Nov 18: ‘Education For You’, a students’ social group organized a special lecture on the topic ‘Legal Rights of Children’ at Government Higher Secondary School, Bahu Fort, here today.
The programme commenced with the welcome address by volunteer Anjana Sharma.
Senior, Assistant Professor at Law School, University of Jammu, Dr Monika Narang, who was the chief guest on the occasion in her speech said that the children’s rights decide the path of their destiny. She said that the education is our fundamental right.
Moreover, she appreciated the talent of children and advised the parents to know their responsibility towards children.
Banarsi Lal, president, Saryara Sabha, who was also present, appreciated the efforts of ‘Education For You’ (EFY).
The prizes were also distributed among the children.
