UDHAMPUR, Apr 2: BJP Spokesperson and former MLA Ranbir Singh Pathania today accused the opposition parties of playing politics of disruption in the Parliament whereby the important bills, call attention motions, questions and issues of public importance could not come up for discussion due to their irresponsible behaviour.
“They are trying to create a storm in a tea cup. The people of India understand the legal and the constitutional nuances behind the disqualification of Rahul Gandhi,” he said while addressing a meeting of party cadres at Majalta (Dhema) and a series of programmes across the length and breadth of district Udhampur.
Pathania reminded that law is very clear that any person who is convicted of an offence with a punishment of minimum two years shall be immediately disqualified from the membership of House. It is in line with the Lakshadweep MP and six others who were disqualified from Parliament, he said and added that the country cannot have two set of laws one for Rahul Gandhi and other for the rest of the people.
During the meetings, Mr Pathania sensitized party cadres, especially Shakti Kendras. He had detailed meetings with polling booth presidents, Vistaraks, office bearers and Mandal teams and sensitized them about various legs of Mahasashaktikaran Abhiyan.
He underscored the need to reach out to the people at large acting as a bridge between people and administration and act as harbingers of the policies and programmes of Central Government. He had a detailed overview of various dos, techniques and best practices as to how the party cadres can establish a better, credible rapport with the people. He focused on making Mandals, Booths, and Pannas more vibrant and effective.
A first hand interaction with beneficiaries of Centrallly sponsored schemes, especially Ayushman Bharat, PMAY, PM Kissan, was also carried out where the beneficiaries shared their e inputs and experiences. They were all praise for the samaritan gesture of Modi Sarkaar.
The meetings also deliberated on various organisational and developmental issues of the area.
