UDHAMPUR, Apr 2: Acting swiftly on written complaint by the victim, Udhampur Police today arrested a rapist.
The arrested accused was identified as Sukhdev Singh, son of Gyan Singh, resident of Dhar Ghadiyan Udhampur.
A case FIR number 135/2023, under Section 376 IPC was registered against him at Udhampur Police Station following a written complaint by the victim, who had identified the accused.
During the course of investigation, the medical examination of the victim was conducted and her statement was also recorded. Today after hectic efforts by the Police, the accused was arrested for further action in the case.
