SRINAGAR, Nov 19: The Teaching and Non-teaching fraternity of the University of Kashmir (KU) today paid tributes to Prof Nissar Ahmad Shah who passed away on November 18, after a very brief spell of illness.
KU held a condolence meet to expressed solidarity with the bereaved family.
Acting Vice Chancellor KU Prof MA Sofi said that the Varsity stands by the bereaved family in this hour of grief and would extend all possible support to his kith and kin.
Meanwhile, a condolence meet of the executive council of Kashmir University Officers Association (KUOA) and KUTA was also held in which was tributes were paid to late Prof NA Shah.
Prof Shah had superannuated a few months ago, and was given extension to serve the university for more time. Prof Shah had served the University in different capacities, as Head Department of Electronics and IT; Dean Faculty of Applied Science and Technology; Director Institute of Engineering and Technology (Zakura Campus), Dean College Development Council.
