JAMMU, Apr 5: Police in Jammu’s Bishnah area claimed today that they have recovered an abducted minor girl besides arresting her kidnapper.
A police spokesperson said that after a minor girl Rekha (name changed) went missing and her parents lodged a written complaint with Police Station Bishnah, an FIR under Sections 363 and 34 IPC was registered and investigation started.
Later, he said, the special teams of Police Station Bishnah traced the missing girl and arrested the accused identified as Nirmal of Khour Salarian, Ramgarh, Samba, with the help of human and technical intelligence generated during the course of investigation.
“Today, the victim girl was handed over to her family members,” he said.
Pertinently, the victim was traced by police teams headed by SDPO RS Pura Surinder Singh assisted by SHO Bishnah Vikram Sharma under the overall supervision of SSP Jammu, Chandan Kohli.
