Teacher under suspension for 2nd marriage without permission

KISHTWAR, Apr 6: Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, Dr. Devansh Yadav has ordered suspension of a government teacher for entering into second marriage without seeking permission from the Government.
A complaint was lodged by Mrs. Ifroza Banoo, wife of Manzoor Ahmed Lone, resident of Nowpachi Marwah before Zonal Education Officer (ZEO) Marwah regarding second marriage of her husband following which a show cause notice was served to Manzoor Ahmed, Teacher Grade-II PS Ziyarat Mohala Zone Marwah by ZEO Marwah.
In response to show-cause notice Lone confessed that he has entered into second marriage without seeking permission from the government.
The suspension order issued by Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar stated that it appeared prima facie that Manzoor Ahmed Lone has violated Rule 22 of Employees Conduct Rule, 1971 by not seeking permission from the competent authority for second marriage.
The order also stated that pending enquiry Lone was placed under suspension in terms of Rule 31 of Classification, Control and Appeal, 1956.
It also mentioned to re-constitute an enquiry committee which will compulsorily be headed by a female officer having one female member and the enquiry committee shall conduct a discreet enquiry into the matter and submit its report within 10 days.
