The family members including the mother and the sister of the missing youth appeared in Press Enclave to get the attention of the authorities so that their son is traced without any delay.
“He had travelled to Ludhiana with a friend from Anantnag, where he was employed by a hotel. The hotel staff told us that Firdous has been missing since February 17th,” the family members said, adding that the Ludhiana cops don’t treat the situation seriously.
The family members said that they went to the police station in Ludhiana several times, but the officers, they said, never paid any attention to them and did not make any attempts to find our missing son.
The protesting family urged the District Administration, Kupwara and the J&K Police to take up the matter with the Punjab Police so that their missing son is traced without any further delay.
