JAMMU, Nov 20: A group of students today began their fast dharna demanding revocation of suspension and rustication of the students, against whom the Jammu University had taken action following severe beating up of a Sanskrit Scholar on the campus around two months back.
The protest dharna is being staged under the banner of `Movement for Justice’ outside the JU main gate.
The protesting students raised slogans in support of their demand and against the JU administration.
They demanded immediate revocation of suspension and rustication order so that these students could appear in the forthcoming exams, which are schedule to start in the first week of December.
The fasting students included Talib Hussian of Law Department, Cathleen Kour of Law School, Marvi Slathia of Political Science and M S Bhatti of Political Science Department.
