JAMMU, Apr 8: At least five vehicles were seized for mining illegally in Jammu District on Saturday, police said.
They said that three tractor trolleys were seized by Police Station RS Pura, one excavator by Police Post Chattha, and one tractor trolley by Border Police Post Gajansoo.
The recoveries were made by SHO RS Pura, Inspector Pawan Kumar, Incharge Police Post Chattha, SI Harjinder Paul Singh and Incharge Police Post BPP Gajansoo, ASI Ravinder Bhushan.
“DMO Jammu has been informed about the recoveries,” a police spokesperson said, who claimed that the vehicles were mining in violation of a High Court order.
