JAMMU, Apr 8: Senior BJP leader and Councillor Ward-41, Sanjay Kumar Baru along with AEE Ravi Salgotra and local BJP leaders started the work of black topping Talab Tillo main road at Patta Chungi, Bohri.
This work of black topping from Patta Chungi to Jewel Chowk will be done under the Smart City Project.
Inaugurating the blactopping work, Baru said that main road was not upto the mark and damaged at different places due to the construction work of new drains and footpaths on both sides which was started earlier and now is about to be completed.
Sanjay Baru said that BJP led Government is committed to upgrade overall infrastructure especially roads and highways. He said earlier the former PM, Atal Behari Vajpayee took substantial steps for the improvement of roads in the country and now the Minister Nitin Gadkari under the leadership of PM, Narendra Modi is ensuring that the Indian roads become the number one in the world and asked the department officials to contribute in the noble task.
Talking about Jammu Smart City, Baru said that all the ongoing projects of Jammu Smart City are going at great pace and completing with their scheduled period. The Smart City of Jammu will look clean only when all the people living in the city cooperate with the Jammu Municipal Corporation in keeping their localities and streets clean, he appealed.
BJP Shaktikendra Pramukh Bubesh Sharma, BJYM Mandal president, Sanchit Sharma, BJP leaders Jatinder Khajuria, Naresh Kumar and others were present on the occasion.
