SRINAGAR, Apr 10: Two teenage girls jumped out of a moving car in Kralgund village of Handwara in Kupwara district today to escape molestation.
An official said that after jumping out of the moving car, they suffered minor injuries.
The girls had sought lift from a private vehicle at Rasripora to go towards Watergam. On boarding the vehicle, driver and another person allegedly tried to molest the girls.
He said to escape the alleged molestation bid, girls jumped out of the moving car.
A case (FIR No. 33/2023 under relevant Sections of law) has been registered at Police Station Kralgund and investigation has been initiated.
“The efforts are on to nab the accused”, the official added.
