Public grievances redressal camp organized

REASI, Nov 21: District administration organized one-day public grievances redressal camp at Panassa, a remote area in Arnas where people from 12 Panchayats participated.
DDC, Dr Shahid Iqbal accompanied by SSP M S Chouhan, DFO Sayed Nadeem Hussain, ACD Joginder Rai, Executive Engineers, Jagdish Chib, K H Shah, Sanjeev Rathore, CMO Dr Younis, DSWO Rafiq Ahmed, DSHO Dr H S Rana and all district officers and heads of various projects attended the camp where on spot decisions were taken on issues pertaining to Rural Development, Education, Animal Husbandry, Sheep Husbandry, Health, CAPD, Revenue, Forest and other departments.
Sarpanchs, Panchs and social activists presented charter of demands and issues pertaining to their wards and Panchayats. Detailed deliberations were held sector wise where district officers worked out the timelines for each grievance redressal. On the occasion, DDC announced the point wise decisions and informed that a review of the issues will be held after one month to assess the action taken by the departments.
The DDC asked the block level officers to convene public meetings jointly and come up with actionable points for the district administration on fortnightly basis as per the practice adopted in Pouni block already. He also set a timeline of 2 months for clearing all cases of pending land compensation under PMGSY roads sector and crop compensation in 15 days time.
On delay in construction of SSA school buildings, he asked the SSP to lodge an FIR. It was informed that all pending SSA buildings, which could not be taken up due to high cost of construction will be completed this year. The issues related to Anganwadi Centres, Schools, Pensions, Roads, Health institutions, livestock healthcare, ration supply, payment of wages under MGNREGA, new developmental works and schemes were decided in the meeting.
