JAMMU, Apr 12: At least eight vehicles were seized for mining illegally in Jammu District today, police said.
They said one dumper was seized by a team of Police Station Miran Sahib led by SHO concerned, Inspector Zaheer Mushtaq, one tractor trolleys by a team of Police Station Kahnachak led by SHO concerned, Inspector Rahul Mahajan, one tipper by a team of Police Station Akhnoor led by SHO Akhnoor, Inspector Harjeet Singh, two tractor trolley by a team of Police Post Chattha led by incharge Police Post, PSI Harjinder Paul Singh, two vehicles by Police Post Jourian led by incharge Police Post, PSI Karnail Singh, and one tractor trolley by Police Post Phallain Mandal led by incharge Police Post, PSI Ajesh Singh Jamwal in their respective jurisdictions.
“The vehicles were mining in violation of a High Court order,” police said, adding that the DMO Jammu has been intimated about the recoveries made.
