JAMMU, Apr 12: Dr Rakesh Kumar, Senior Assistant Professor in the School of Biotechnology, SMVDU, has been awarded with Dr GP Talwar Gold Medal oration Award at Ravenshaw University Cuttack by ISSRF (Indian Society for the Study of Reproduction and Fertility).
Dr Rakesh has done his PhD from All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) New Delhi and is Post doctorate from Washington University School of Medicine, St Louis MO, USA and University of Texas Southwestern Medical Centre Dallas USA.
His group’s current research interests are in mechanistic elucidations of different cancers, reproductive biology disorders in the northern region of India particularly Jammu and Kashmir. Presently he is leading the group of scientists from 04 universities of Jammu and Kashmir in a joint study by ICMR on reproductive disorders of Jammu and Kashmir.
