JAMMU, Apr 12: Senior BJP leader and Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) Councillor, Satpaul Karlupia here today started construction work of deep drain at Pouni Chak Wand-Brammna area of his Ward number 32.
Speaking on the occasion, Karlupia said that the work of deep drain was a long pending demand of the locals of the area and it has been started today and will be completed at an expenditure of Rs. 10 lakh.
He ensured the people of his Ward that he is committed to make Ward number 32 a model one by providing all the required facilities.
The Councillor asked the people of his Ward to avoid single use plastic and poly-bags in routine life.
He directed the concerned engineers as well as the contractor to complete the work by using best construction materials and get it complete within stipulated time.
Karlupia said that other works of the Ward shall also be started and completed soon.
Deepak Kumar, Booth president; Shemsher Chand, Lovekesh Gondi, Arun Sharma, Kamal Raj, Joginder Kumar, Sai Dass and others were also present on the occasion.
