KATHUA, Apr 13: Police today arrested a narco-smuggler and recovered about 696 grams of Ganja from his possession.
“Acting on a tip-off, a team of police led by PSI Mohd Toheed Khan (Incharge Police Post, Industrial Estates, Kathua) conducted a raid along with EMIC Kathua at CTM Labour Colony Kathua, leading to the recovery of approximately 696 grams of Ganja from the residential room of Maheswar Mahilik, resident of Odhisa (at present CTM Labour Colony, Hatli Morh, Kathua,” a Police spokesman said.
He said the recovered contraband was seized and the accused was arrested by the Police. “In this connection, a case FIR Number 158/2023 U/S 8/20 NDPS Act was registered at Police Station Kathua and further investigation started,” the spokesman added.
