Sena, SSP vow to become better political option in JK

JAMMU, Apr 13: Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) and Sainik Samaj Party (SSP) have jointly assured to raise their voice and become a better political option for the people of Jammu and Kashmir with an aim to protect their rights including land, employment, education and cultural identity.
Addressing a joint press conference at Press Club here today, Manish Sahni, president Shiv Sena(UBT) J&K and Col. SS Pathania, president Sainik Samaj Party said that for the protection of rights, cultural identity of local people, special rights have been given to Jammu and Kashmir under Article 371. He said formation of Minorities Commission in Jammu and Kashmir and removal of anomalies in the welfare schemes of soldiers and ex-servicemen were also comes under Article 371.
Sahni said that Hindus and Sikhs are minorities in Jammu and Kashmir and the government should give all benefits of all schemes with the status to the minority communities.
Col Pathania demanded removal of anomalies in reservation in government jobs to soldiers, ex-servicemen and family pensioners, one-time grants to gallantry award winners on the lines of neighboring states and other welfare schemes.
Sahni and Col Pathania said that they will jointly go among the public and make a list of public aspirations and raise their voice on those issues and with the cooperation and support of the public, they will aim to make the best political option for the people of J&K in the upcoming Panchayat, Municipal Corporation, Assembly elections in the Union Territory. They appealed to the other like-minded political parties to get unite and work together for the welfare of people of Jammu and Kashmir.
