Save Sharda Committee calls on LG Manoj Sinha

NEW DELHI, Apr 14: Save Sharda Committee members led by Ravinder Pandita (Head/Founder) called on Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir Manoj Sinha, here today.
Besides, apprising him of future plans on Sharda Centre at LoC Teetwal, the Committee pressed for long pending issues concerning the general public of the area. The Committee demanded a regular SRTC 12-seater bus service for commuters from Srinagar–Teetwal and Kupwara–Teetwal routes, setting up of vegetarian eatery through Tourism department and allied issues.
The Committee further demanded setting up of Temples and Shrines Board for reclaiming and maintaining minorities’ religious properties and posting of an officer of the rank of Additional Secretary to address issues of migrant Kashmiri Pandits in Delhi-NCR areas. The officer, as per the Committee, should function as deputy to Relief Commissioner J&K like the one during CM’s rule 4 years ago.
The LG discussed the charter point wise and agreed to all the genuine demands raised by the Committee. It was also decided that Pran Pratishtha of Sharda Murti should be held at Teetwal after conclusion of G20 summit.
