JAMMU, Apr 14: An 18-year-old youth was found dead here at his residence at Gorkha Nagar area of the District today, police said.
SHO Bagh-e-Bahu Police Station, Arti Thakur, told the Excelsior that Roshan Lal (18) son of Mian Lal of Kalika Colony, Gorkha Nagar, Jammu, who was the only child of the Lal family, was found under mysterious circumstances in his room with a ligature mark over his neck.
“He was taken to Government Medical College Jammu where doctors declared him dead on arrival,” said the Police officer, adding that the body of the deceased has been shifted to the mortuary of the hospital for conducting the post-mortem.
Meanwhile, police have initiated inquest proceedings to ascertain the reason behind the mysterious death of the youth.
