JAMMU, Apr 15: The over aged youth and Migrant Relief holders held a protest demonstration in front of Raj Bhawan here this morning demanding enhancement of cash relief.
The protestors with placards in their hands demanding hike in cash assistance alleged that the Government has totally ignored the over aged displaced youth who have lost all hopes of survival.
They said that under the sky rocketing prices it is totally impossible for them to feed their families or even bear the expenses of their school and college going children.
The protestors said instead of taking steps of rehabilitating them by sanctioning a comprehensive package, the Government is even showing reluctance to hike their cash relief. The protestors demanded that the Government should without delay unfold a rehabilitation package for displaced over-aged youth by providing them soft loans under skill development and other Central Government schemes so that they can establish their business instead of being dependent on the cash doles from Government.
The protestors sought immediate intervention of Lt Governor , Manoj Sinha towards their plight and appealed him to take up their genuine issue with Prime Minster, Narendra Modi and Home Minister, Amit Shah.
The protestors said how long the Government will maintain a studied silence on their genuine demand and ignore the over-aged displaced youth who are the worst sufferers of turmoil and whose plight has been ignored by successive Governments.
