JAMMU, Apr 16: District Congress Committee (DCC) Jammu concluded the block-wise Jai Bharat Satyagraha, and held the concluding Satyagraha protest program in Block 2 and 3 Jammu West Constituency, at Mahesh Pura Chowk near GMC Jammu here today.
The Satyagraha was led by former minister Raman Bhalla (working president PCC) and Yogesh Sawhney general Secretary, I/C District president Jammu (Urban). The DCC Jammu has held Jai Bharat Satyagraha in various blocks across Jammu as per the nation-wide program of the Congress party to create awareness about the BJP’s policies. The party activists raised slogans against the government.
Addressing the gathering Bhalla attacked the BJP government citing the recent comments by former Jammu and Kashmir Governor, Satya Pal Malik on Pulwama attack. He slammed the Union Government and Central agencies for not investigating the truth behind former Satyapal Malik’s allegations. Bhalla stated that an inquiry must be set up into the matter, terming the whole incident “outrageous and unforgivable”. If the martyrdom of 40 brave souls was because of the mistake of the Government causing this huge security lapse, then BJP govt must answer to people.

As Satyapal Malik said that Modi Ji tried to suppress information about this, this is a total disservice to our jawans and our citizens. An official inquiry is needed to investigate the role of the Modi Govt in attacks. If they are again trying to suppress the truth with legal notices and misuse of power, they should know that nothing will stop the truth from coming out.
Yogesh Sawhney said that the country is shocked to hear Satyapal Malik’s statement on Pulwama. People and our jawans put their faith in the government, and if precious lives were lost due to security lapse from government’s end, this is a huge betrayal to the country’s jawans who keep their lives on the line. If the comments of the former Governor are correct it is very disturbing, hence, we demand an official inquiry, Sawhney asserted.
