SRINAGAR, Nov 22: Crime Branch of Jammu and Kashmir police in its raids during past few days at Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution (CAPD) godown Letpora in district Pulwama have found around 9 lakh kilogrammes of rice missing.
Sources in the Crime Branch said that the raids at the godown were conducted during past few days and it was found that 9 lakh kilogrammes of rice are missing from the godown. A case has been registered under FIR number 29/2013 in the Police Station Crime Branch and investigations are going on.
Sources said that the raids will continue as there are complaints that CAPD rice and sugar is being sold in the black market and the CAPD outlets are without rice and sugar.
