Rajbagh police seizes 11.87 grams of heroin, arrests 4

KATHUA, Apr 17: To eradicate the menace of drugs from the society and take stringent action against drug peddlers within the district, Kathua Police recovered approximately 11.87 grams of Heroin (Chitta) in the jurisdiction of Rajbagh Police Station (PS), arrested four persons and seized one SKODA car.
Police said today, information was received at PS Rajbagh that four unknown persons travelling in a car SKODA bearing Registration Number JK02AX 8102 from Jammu towards Sanjhi Morh are having narcotics in their possession. Acting on the tip off, a Police team headed by Inspector, Tariq Ahmed, SHO, PS Rajbagh assisted by PSI, Neeraj Parihar in charge Police Post (PP), Chadwal under the supervision of DySP, Dheeraj Katoch SDPO Border, Kathua laid a naka and apprehended four persons namely Chanchal Singh, son of Thakur Anar Singh of Shashtri Nagar Jammu, Dushyant Sharma son of Jagjivan Kumar of Palli Bishnah, Bajinder Singh son of Angrez Singh of Raipur Satwari, Rakesh Sharma, son of Paras Ram of Akhnoor, Jammu.
During checking approximately 11.87 grams of Heroin (Chitta) was recovered from their possession. Thereafter all the recovered narcotic substance along with one Sqoda car was seized and four persons were arrested. In this regard a case FIR No. 107/2023 U/S 8/21/22/29 NDPS Act has already been registered at Police Station Rajbagh. Further investigation is underway.
