National Conference on ‘India@G20’ in Jammu on April 26

JAMMU, Apr 17: A National Conference on the theme-“India@G20:Priorities, Prospects and Way Forward for Creating Inclusive and Sustainable Society”-would be held here at Convention Centre, Jammu on April 26th.
As per a statement, the National conference is being organised by three institutions viz. IIM Jammu, IIT Jammu, and AIIMS Jammu in collaboration with Dalit Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DICCI) and Government of Jammu and Kashmir.
The press statement said that the National conference aims at projecting the students of IIM, IIT, and AIIMS Jammu and other institutions in J&K as India’s cultural ambassadors in an effort to build a long-lasting relationship with India B20, Y20, Startup 20 under G20 fraternity.
It further said that the theme of panel 1 of the conference would be “Enhancing G20 Collaboration: Roles of Engagement Groups”, while the themes of panel 2, 3, 4, and 5 would be “Enhancing Digital Transformation”, “Global Trade and Business Recovery: Challenges and Way Forward”, “NextGen Health and G20 Presidency”, and “University Connect: Enhancing Global Collaboration in Higher Education”.
Pertinently, Dr Jitendra Singh, MoS in PMO, Manoj Sinha, LG Jammu and Kashmir, Jugal Kishore Sharma, Member Parliament, Rajeev Rai Bhatnagar, Advisor to LG Manoj Sinha, Arun Kumar Mehta, Chief Secretary, and Alok Kumar, Principal Secretary, Higher Education Department, would be attending the conference as the Chief Guests.
While Dr Millind Kamble, Chairman, BoG, IIM Jammu, Dr Sharad K Saraf, Chairman, BoG, IIT Jammu, and Prof (Dr) YK Gupta, President AIIMS Jammu, would be the patrons of the conference it would be co-chaired by Prof BS Sahay, Director, IIM Jammu, Prof Manoj Singh Gaur, Director, IIT Jammu, and Prof (Dr) Shakti Kumar Gupta, Executive Director & CEO AIIMS, Jammu.
