JAMMU, June 18: A deputation of JK Medical Employees Federation called on Sham Lal Sharma, Minister for Health, Floriculture and Horticulture, here today under the presidentship of S Dharminder Singh Bhargav.
The deputationists discussed the problems faced by the Health employees and also brought in the notice of Minister the irregularities done by the Directorate Health Services Jammu towards some non -gazetted health employees.
They informed the Minister that the category of clerical cadre, which was previously taken under DPC now has not been taken. This time the directorate has applied some rules for conducting the DPC, which have not applied in the previous DPC and in the previous DPC some clerical staff has been upgraded to the post of head clerks.
The president expressed his total dissatisfaction and criticized the discriminatory attitude and partiality of the Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC).
The president JKMEF further presented a representation of Malaria Inspectors and Senior Health Inspectors who had covered over 30 years supervisory experience in Malaria for the promotion of next post i.e District Malaria Officer / Anti-Malaria Officer and presented a list of those who had completed over 15 years in their job which is included in the SRO 20 Non Gazetted Promotion rules for the post of DMO/AMO.
He said none of the service books of those employees has been called on who are senior and eligible for the post of DMO.
