SAMBA, Apr 17: Senior Superintendent of Police, Samba, Benam Tosh handed over 40 recovered Smartphones worth Rs six lac approximately to the actual owners at a function organised at DPO here, today.
Additional SP Samba, Surinder Choudhary, Deputy SP, Ajay Anand and Senior PO, Gurpreet Kaur among other officers were present on the occasion.
In a short span of three months, total 81 costly cell phones worth Rs 11 lac approximately have been recovered by Samba police and handed over to the actual owners. Earlier on February 1, 2023, 41 recovered mobile phones worth rupees five lakhs were handed over by SSP Samba to the owners in a function.
Owners of the Android Mobile phones and their families appreciated the role of Samba Police, especially speedy recovery of Android Mobile phones and expressed thanks for returning the same in a time-bound manner.
Speaking on the occasion, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Samba, Benam Tosh thanked the owners of Android mobile phones for coming all the way to collect recovered mobiles, otherwise police would have respectfully handed over the same at their doorsteps. SSP said that police is committed to solve all big or small property related matters of public on priority basis and police worked hard to recover record 81 costly Android Mobile phones worth rupees eleven lac approximately in a short period of just three months in Samba district.
