JAMMU, Apr 18: In connection with Bhagwan Parshuram Jayanti Celebration, Dogra Brahman Pratinidhi Sabha took out a grand Rath Yatra and car-bike rally, here today.
The Rath Yatra cum rally was jointly flagged off by the Sabha President Ved Parkash Sharma and Yuva President of the Sabha, Ritiz Khajuria in presence of Tawi Andolan President Chander Mohan Sharma and others.

The Rath Yatra comprised of tableaus by various religious organizations and bike car rally, which passed through Parade Chowk to Moti Bazar, Chowk Chabutra, Jain Bazar, Link Road, Purani Mandi, City Chowk, Kanak Mandi, Residency Road, Raghunath Mandir Bazar, Ranbireshwar Mandir Chowk and culminated at Chanakya Chowk Parade.
A large number of people took part in the procession amid chanting of Bhajan Kirtan. The procession was welcomed by the public on both sides of the roads of its route while a grand Bhandara was also served by the DBPS.
B D Sharma (Retd IAS), Ex DC B S Jamwal, NMC President Subash Shastri several JMC Corporators, heads of various social and religious organizations, beside prominent citizens from length and breadth of Jammu province, Ex Dy Mayor Purnima Sharma, IKJUTT Party President Ankur Sharma, Bawa Bhairdev Sthan Trust President Balwant Singh and General Secretary Ramesh Sharma, Bajrang Dal President Rakesh Kumar, Sanatan Dharam Natak Samaj President Anil Masoom and others also accompanied the procession.
The three-day celebration programmes will conclude on April 22 with performing of grand Hawana and Kirtan and Vedic discourses regarding Bhagwan Parshuram teachings followed by a Bhandara.
The entire programme was conceived and supervised by the Sabha office bearers namely Pt V M Magotra, N C Sharma, M L Sharma, Advocate P C Sharma, Satyanand Sharma, Soujanya Sharma, M L Padha, Shiv Ram Sharma, Jagan Nath Sharma, K L Sharma, Pt Ajay Sharma, Rohit Shastri, Davinder Sharma (Baboo), S S Baru, Barita Ram Sharma, Gurdass Sharma, Sat Paul Sharma, Raman Sharma, Rajesh Bargota, Prem Balotra, Kanav Sharma and others.
