POONCH, Apr 18: Local administration has started removing encroachment on Nallah at main market in Surankote town of Poonch district.
Official sources said that in presence of SDM, Tehsildar, Naib Tehsildar, Chairman, VC of Municipal Committee, Surankote and SHO along with policemen and other officials, dismantled four structures (shops) raised illegally while the other people have asked for the time of two days for removal of encroachment themselves.
Executive Magistrate Surankote said that if people will not remove the encroachment on nallah by themselves within two days, administration will itself remove all encroachments using JCVs.
Pertinent to mention that every time after heavy rainfall, water of this nallah comes out on the road and enters shops and houses resulting in the loss of lakhs of rupees. Though the process of removal of encroachments was started many times in the past but it was not completed and administration has once again started the drive and asked all encroachers to remove encroachments by themselves within two days.
