JAMMU, Apr 19: A protest was held by the Jagti Tenement Committee (JTC) and Soan Kashmir Front (SKF) under the chairmanship of its president, Shadi Lal Pandita at Jagti township near here, today.
Addressing the protestors Shadi Lal Pandita said that Government is doing great injustice with the Kashmiri Pandits who had been forced to live in exile for 33 years .
Pandita said that the Kashmiri Pandits mostly relief holders are worried about the rising inflation while their monthly cash relief is quite low which needs to be increased from Rs 13,000 to Rs 25,000 immediately.
Pandita said that the Government has still not built 6,000 flats for package employees in Kashmir Valley for which orders were passed ten years back. Pandita urged the Government to build 6,000 flats in Kashmir Valley as soon as possible so that the package employees can live in them.
The JTC and SKF has demanded that a new package of 20,000 jobs to be given for the Kashmiri Pandit unemployed youth.
He also demanded interest free Bank loans up to 25 lakh for over -aged youth of the community who are forced to live a life of exile for 35 years.
