JAMMU, Apr 19: Cyber Police here have arrested a person who was posting objectionable photos of a girl on social media.
A police spokesperson said that acting on the written complaint of the victim, the accused identified as Sanjay Kumar @alias Kala of Mathwar, Jammu, has been arrested from Durga Nagar area of the District for capturing and posting objectionable photos of a girl on social media sites. He has been charged under the relevant sections of the law by Cyber Police.
“The mobile phone of the accused has also been seized,” he said.
According to the police spokesperson, role of some other accused involved in the crime is also being investigated by the Cyber Police.
Pertinently, the arrest was made by a team of Cyber Police Station Jammu led by DySP Cyber Cell Anubhuti and assisted by Investigating Officer, Inspector Rakesh Sharma and SI Mohammad Shabir with the help of incharge Police Post Chinnore.
