160 grams of Amphetamine worth lakhs recovered

JAMMU, Apr 19: Police in Jammu’s Tallab Tillo Area claimed today that they have arrested a drug peddler and recovered 160 grams of Amphetamine drug worth several lakhs from his possession.
Amphetamine is a highly addictive drug that stimulates the central nervous system. One kilograms of the Amphetamine can cost in crores.
A police spokesperson said that one Maninder Pal Singh of Haveli, Poonch, at present Digiana Jammu, was arrested with the commercial quantity of the drug and the Swift car he was using in the offence has been seized.
“The accused has been booked in case FIR number 56/2023 under sections 8/21/22 of the NDPS Act registered at Police Station Nowabad and further investigation taken up,” he said.
Pertinently, the arrest and seizure was made by a team of Police Post Tallab Tillo led by DySP Headquarters Dr Sunniya Wani assisted by SHO Nowabad, Inspector Surinder Raina and incharge Police Post Tallab Tillo, PSI Sonu Choudhary.
